1. Information we collect

We collect the information you choose to provide when making an enquiry or arranging tutoring. This may relate to a parent or guardian, a student, or an adult student contacting Elevate directly.

• Contact information: Name, email address and optional phone number.
• Tutoring information: Student level, subject, preferred contact time, plan of interest and any notes you include.
• Communications: Information shared in later emails, phone calls, messages or session arrangements.
• Basic technical information: The contact endpoint temporarily uses connection information to limit repeated spam submissions.

2. How we use information

We use enquiry information to respond, understand the requested support, discuss tutor availability, arrange sessions and administer an ongoing tutoring relationship.

We may also use aggregated, non-identifying information to understand which subjects and levels are most frequently requested.

3. Legal bases

Under UK data protection law, processing may be based on your consent when you submit an enquiry, steps requested before entering a tutoring agreement, performance of a contract after tutoring is booked, and legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service.

4. Service providers and sharing

Elevate does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by website hosting, email delivery or communication providers used to run the enquiry service.

Where a tutor other than the initial contact is proposed, only the information needed to discuss a suitable match should be shared. Direct contact details should be shared after the family has agreed to the proposed arrangement.

Information may also be disclosed where required by law or a valid request from a public authority.

5. Security and retention

Reasonable technical and organisational steps are used to protect enquiry information and restrict access. No internet service can promise absolute security.

Information is kept only as long as needed for the enquiry, tutoring relationship and any legal, accounting or safeguarding requirement. Enquiries that do not proceed are normally deleted after 12 months unless there is a valid reason to retain them.

6. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing.

You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe your data protection rights have not been respected.
